Natural Resources Wales (NRW) has reported that it has taken part in Project Punctulate, a multi-agency operation in the Port of Holyhead to tackle illegal activities, such as the movement of illicit commodities and waste, along Common Travel Area routes. This operation was led by Border Force and was supported by the National Crime Agency, Immigration Enforcement, Counter Terrorism Policing, HM Revenues and Customs and the Department for Work and Pensions. Officers from these agencies and NRW monitored inbound and outbound traffic from ferries and carried out vehicle stops, and provided advice and guidance to those with the lack of correct paperwork to support the shipment of waste.
