The Home Office and HM Treasury have published a new economic crime plan for the period 2023-2026. Economic Crime Plan 2 introduces new ways to improve the system-wide response to economic crime through enhanced cooperation between government, law enforcement, supervisory agencies and the private sector. The aim of the plan is to reduce money laundering and help recover more criminal assets, combat kleptocracy and drive down sanctions evasion, and help cut fraud.
