The European Central Bank (ECB) has published an opinion dated 25 May 2020 on a draft Belgian law on cash limitations concerning postal payments and anti-money laundering (AML) measures (CON/2020/17), which implements Directive (EU) 2018/843 (MLD5). In its opinion, the ECB does not raise any objections to the draft law, but it does recommend that the Nationale Bank van België (NBB) (also known as the Banque Nationale de Belgique) clarify a number of points in the explanatory memorandum.
