The Peruvian Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism has announced that Peru and Hong Kong began the first round of trade negotiations for the signing of a Free Trade Agreement (FTA). Round one of negotiations is being held in person during the week from 6 to 10 February 2023 in Hong Kong. This round will focus on, amongst other issues, market access, rules of origin, sanitary and phytosanitary measures, trade in services, electronic commerce, investment, cooperation, trade facilitation and temporary entry of business people.
