The Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government has published the decision letter and Inspector’s Report for a recovered appeal concerning the demolition of all existing structures at Wheatley Campus, Oxford Brookes University, and redevelopment of the site with up to 500 dwellings and associated works. The appeal made by Oxford Brookes University was against the decision of South Oxfordshire District Council to refuse the application for outline planning permission. Upon review of the Inspector’s recommendations, the Secretary of State decided to allow the appeal and grant outline planning permission subject to certain conditions being met. Several matters will be reserved for subsequent approval.
