The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has announced the launch of a new Cyber Resilience Centre (CRC) in London to work with the Met Police, City of London Police, and British Transport Police to support small and medium sized businesses with the growing threat of cybercrime and to reduce their vulnerability. The CRC will become part of the National CRC Group, a group of nine centres across England and Wales, and consist of industry experts to prepare businesses against cyber-attacks, along with subsequent support, as well as practical online safety advice and face-to-face visits. Khan is providing £200,000 to support the Centre’s Community Outreach programme which includes developing self-help toolkits for businesses and ‘How-To’ Video Guides on improving resilience against cyber-attacks.
