Article summary
The Independent Monitoring Authority for the Citizens’ Rights Agreements (IMA) has announced that following a survey, it is revealed that there is a significant lack of trust and confidence in public bodies following Brexit by European citizens. According to the IMA, the survey also identified that one in four respondents do not feel they are treated equally to UK citizens and that one in two are not aware of their citizens’ rights. The IMA says that the reasons for lack of confidence were due to a lack of trust in the government, the impact and negativity associated with Brexit, a hostile environment, and fears about another Windrush-type scandal.
