The European Commission has opened a call for evidence on the Regulation (EU) 2019/881 on the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) and the information and communications cybersecurity certification, which mandates the Commission to assess ENISA in achieving its objectives and tasks, alongside the need to modify its mandate. Regulation (EU) 2019/881 also requires the Commission to assess the impact and effectiveness of the European Cybersecurity Certification Framework. The Commission is seeking views that will be taken into account in developing the initiative. The consultation opens on 14 July 2023 and closes on 16 September 2023.
