This week's edition of EU Law weekly highlights includes analyses on Meta halting its AI tech debut after regulatory backlash, the EU Gigabit Infrastructure Act and the definitions of providers and deployers under the EU AI Act. This week, the Council of the EU has formally adopted the Nature Restoration Regulation and the trans-European transport network (TEN-T) Regulation. It has also agreed on its position on the EU Talent Pool proposal, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) enforcement rules, the Green Claims Directive, the Soil Monitoring Law, the Waste Framework Directive, the Detergents Regulation and the proposal to simplify financial reporting requirements. In addition, the amendments to the European Economic Area (EEA) Agreement Annex IX, the Basel III reforms, the money-laundering and terrorist financing package, the Regulation streamlining procedures for changes to medicine approvals and the Regulation updating controls on food imports to protect public health have been published in the Official Journal.
