MLex has reported that the European Data Protection Board (EDPB) has announced that some national Data Protection Authorities (DPAs) are investigating whether data transfers to Russia are lawful under the bloc's data protection rules. The umbrella group of EU DPAs said in a statement that EU data exporters should assess whether there are any laws or practices in Russia that might impinge of companies' use of safeguards to transfer data there.
