The Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra) has announced an extension to the Movement Assistance Scheme, which benefits traders moving agri-food from Great Britain to Northern Ireland by covering the relevant certification costs. The scheme will run until the end of 2023 and will also be expanded to cover costs relating to scrapies testing for sheep exports, sample testing and certification for individual seed lots, the Plan Health Exports Audited Trader Scheme and exporters in Great Britain who move organics to Northern Ireland.
