The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) has launched a consultation on changes to the Electronic Communications Code, the legal framework underpinning rights to maintain electronic communications apparatus on public and private land. DCMS is proposing to amend the Code to solve difficulties relating to: obtaining and using Code agreements, rights to upgrade and share and the renewal of expired agreements. The consultation sets out a range of potential means to address them. DCMS invites responses until 24 March 2021.
