The Ministry of Justice has launched a consultation on an accelerated package of measures which amend the criminal legal aid fee schemes, as part of the Criminal Legal Aid Review. The consultation sets out proposals for four of the five areas of the criminal legal aid review. The consultation seeks feedback from individuals with an interest in remuneration through criminal legal aid fee schemes, such as members of the criminal defence profession, members of the judiciary and court staff. The deadline for comments is 11:59pm on 27 March 2020.
