The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has published a press release stating that Teletext holidays could face legal action over package holiday refunds. Truly Holdings Ltd, which operates Teletext Holidays, have signed undertakings committing to refunding cancelled package holidays during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic within 14 days. It was required that holidays were refunded promptly by the end of August 2021. In total, £7.2m has been refunded however £600,000 is still outstanding. The CMA considers that not enough has been done and has notified Truly Holdings that they will take the company to court if more is not done.
