The Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) has found that a flight brought forward by more than an hour must be considered cancelled according to Regulation (EC) No 261/2004 (Air Passenger Rights). Furthermore, the court found that a passenger that has a confirmed reservation not only when they are in possession of a ticket, but also when a tour operator provides assurances that the passenger will be transported on a particular flight, evidenced by specific point of departure and arrival, departure and arrival times, and flight number.
