The Bar Tribunals Adjudication Service (BTAS) and the Bar Standard Board (BSB) has released a joint statement regarding the review of BTAS Sanctions Guidance. The statement acknowledges there are concerns about the level of sanctions imposed in sexual misconduct cases but says they fall within current Guidance. The Guidance is under review and it is hoped that it will be updated by summer 2021.
