What is the RIBA Plan of Work?
The RIBA Plan of Work 2013 maps out the structure of the design process for a construction project, setting out tasks and outputs at each stage. The framework it sets out underpins the way projects are organised and managed.
The first RIBA Plan of Work was published in 1963 and it has been amended and updated periodically since then to reflect changes in practice, regulation etc. The RIBA Plan of Work 2013 was published in May 2013 and was the result of a full review and overhaul.
