Insurance distribution

  1. Practice Note: EU Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD)—essentials is an introduction to Directive (EU) 2016/97 (the Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD)). Following the implementation of Directive 2002/92/EC (the Insurance Mediation Directive (IMD)), it became clear that there were inconsistencies in the way it was being implemented across EU Member States and the Commission adopted a proposal for a revision of the IMD.
