10 Rights of burial in churchyards

Every parishioner or inhabitant of a parish and every person dying within the parish has the right to be buried in the parish churchyard or burial ground1. Non-parishioners may be buried in the churchyard or burial ground with the permission of the minister, who must have due regard to any general guidance given by the parochial church council2.
