288 Payments

The grant aid is paid annually to the applicant, his successor or personal representatives at set rates in respect of so much of the converted land as remains in the occupation of the claimant at the date of claim.

The rates of grant aid will depend upon whether the land converted was arable, other improved or unimproved, outside a less favoured area or within a disadvantaged or severely disadvantaged less favoured area. Reviews take place at least every 5 years. Payments will be made for 15 years where the land consists of more than 50% by area of broad-leaved
