295 Sale, early termination and penalties

Under any agreements which continue to run the farmer has to maintain an interest in the agreement land for the duration of the agreement. If there is a change of occupation of the whole or any part of the holding, then the farmer must notify that fact to Natural Resources Wales within three months. The new owner may be able to take over the unexpired term of the farmer’s agreement. If the new owner declines, the farmer must repay a proportion of the standard capital payments already received.
