The European Commission and Ukraine have signed an agreement that will allow Ukraine to join the LIFE programme, which will allow Ukraine to help restore its environment after the destruction brought about by the Russian invasion, whether it is pollution, destruction of ecosystems, or other long-term effects. In order to receive funding for projects, Ukraine will need to ratify the association agreement.
