The Welsh government is consulting on proposals to develop and strengthen its approach to sustainable development. It intends to legislate to make sustainable development the 'central organising principle' of the Welsh government and public bodies in Wales, and to create an independent sustainable development body. This consultation will inform the development of the Sustainable Development Bill White Paper, to be launched in autumn 2012. The consultation closes on 18 July 2012.
