The Scottish Government has published a statutory instrument bringing the Prescription (Scotland) Act 2018 (P(S)A 2018) into force. P(S)A 2018, s 5, which concerns the starting point of the prescriptive period for obligations to pay damages, and P(S)A 2018, s 13, regarding restrictions on contracting out, will come into force on 1 June 2022. The other provisions will take effect on 28 February 2025.
