A statutory instrument has been laid in Parliament which will enable Court of Appeal family hearings to be live-streamed as part of a joint initiative by the judiciary and government to enhance transparency and public confidence in the justice system. The project will commence following a successful pilot concerning the live-streaming of civil cases in 2018. Safeguarding measures aimed at ensuring privacy and protecting vulnerable individuals are included in the pilot.
