The Secondary Legislation Scrutiny Committee (SLSC) has published its 51st report for the 2022–2023 session, which contains the Committee’s thoughts on instruments of interest and instruments excluded from being drawn to the special interest of the House. In this session, special attention of the House has been drawn to the Draft Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 (Amendment) Order 2023 on the ground that the consultation process appears inadequate and the Statement of Changes in Immigration Rules (HC 1496) on the ground that the explanatory material provides insufficient information about the instrument's policy objective and intended implementation.
