The Scottish Government has published the Scottish Budget: 2022-23, anouncing key figures pertaining to the construction industry. To meet Scotland’s Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2045, the Scottish Budget 2022-23 has set out almost £2bn of low carbon capital investment in Scotland’s public infrastructure to support the decarbonisation of homes and buildings, transport and industry. On top of the climate and carbon priorities, the budget has also announced £831m for affordable housing to progress the Scottish Government’s commitment to deliver 110,000 affordable, energy efficient homes across the next decade and leverage further private sector investment and supporting employment in the construction sector.
