The House of Commons Public Administration and Constitutional Affairs Committee (PACAC) has announced several recommendations to improve Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman (PHSO) services in England. PACAC emphasised that an overhaul of the PHSO, by way of new legislation, is needed in order to modernise the Ombudsman and thereby improve how complaints against the NHS and enquiries are handled.
