The Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman has found the London Borough of Lewisham exposed a former child in its care to ‘significant harm’ and did not to look into their concerns properly. The complainant said to the Ombudsman that the council did not properly investigate the allegations of significant and repeated incidents of physical, sexual and emotional abuse they had made when they were a child in foster care and council run residential units.
