Ofsted and Principal Officer, Wendy Ratcliff, have published a blog advising early years practitioners on what they should do to prepare for an early years inspection. Ratcliff has highlighted that the inspectors aim to find out what it is like to be a child in the setting everyday and not only on the inspection day and recommended that providers do not do anything differently just for the inspection. The blog also advised that there is no need to prepare extensive paperwork outside of what is specified in the early years foundation stage.
