OfS launches consultation on new approach to regulating equality of opportunity

The Office for Students (OfS) has launched a consultation on its new approach to regulating equality of opportunity in English higher education. As part of this approach, the OfS has proposed a new Equality of Opportunity Risk Register (EORR) that providers should have regard to when identifying its risks to equality of opportunity and that a provider’s access and participation plan should be focused on ‘risks to equality of opportunity’. The OfS is inviting anyone with an interest in equality of opportunity in higher education and English higher education more generally to submit their views. The consultation closes on 10 November 2022.
