The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) has published further details on appeals regarding GCSE, AS, A level calculated grades and confirms autumn exam plans. Ofqual confirms candidates that are unable to receive a calculated mark or would like to improve their mark will have the option to take GCSE, AS and A-level exams in autumn 2020. The exact date of the exams is yet to be confirmed. Ofqual understands the challenges schools and colleges will face and aims for the AS and A level exam to take place in October 2020 and the GCSE’s in November 2020. In addition, Ofqual has confirmed students will also have the option to appeal through their school or college to check whether the test process was followed correctly.
