The Department of Health and Social Care has published guidance regarding new restrictions for Liverpool City Region due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Liverpool City Region has now been attributed a ‘very high’ level within the local COVID alert. This means that there is a ‘very high level of infections’ within the area. People must not meet friends and family indoors and in most outdoor public venues ‘unless they are part of your household or support bubble’. However, it is still possible to see friends and family who are not within the household in certain outdoor public spaces such as parks, outdoor sports courts and public gardens, if it is in groups of 6 or less. The additional rules will apply from Wednesday 14 October 2020.
