Article summary

The UK Space Agency has announced that UK-built nanosatellites will be put into orbit over the next two months. Two of the four shoebox-sized satellites have ‘onboard intelligent machine-learning algorithms’ enabling them to predict the locations of boats, track their whereabouts, estimate arrival times at ports and therefore help port businesses and authorities to safely manage docks. Despite their size, nanosatellites can do as much as conventional satellites.
