The court has held that where contact details are given to a solicitor in confidence and for the express purpose of the giving and receiving of legal advice the contact details will be subject to legal professional privilege. All persons have a right to access legal advice and therefore even where the client is a contemptor the contact details will be privileged as their position will be no different than if they were a law abiding citizen.
