The Joint Committee on Human Rights has published research ahead of a session that will hear evidence gathered by ClearView Research which suggests considerable concerns from the black community regarding the enjoyment and protection of their human rights. From its research the Committee found that over 75% of black people in the UK do not believe their human rights are equally protected compared to white people, 85% of black people in the UK are not confident that they would be treated the same as a white person by the police, and over 60% of black people in the UK do not believe their health is as equally protected by the NHS compared to white people.
