MedTech Europe has announced that the Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) has launched two new calls for proposals featuring topics on the environmental impacts of healthcare. IHI call number four is a two-stage call with topics on reducing and replacing non-human primates in non-clinical safety assessments, patient-centric blood sample collection, clinical trials and the environmental impacts of healthcare. There is a two-stage submission deadline—8 November 2023 for short proposals and 23 April 2024 for full proposals. IHI call number five is a single-stage call with topics on the non-animal approaches for the development, testing and production of health technologies, theranostics, stroke management and synthetic data. The submission deadline for call number five is 16 January 2024.
