The International Capital Market Association (ICMA), in collaboration with the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), has published a third edition of its report, The Asian International Bond Markets: Development and Trends. The report found that annual issuance of cross-border bonds from Asia totalled over US$610bn in 2021, declining 44% to US$346bn in 2022, following global interest rate rises, geopolitical tensions and sectoral credit events.
