MLex has reported that an unnamed house installation company has been fined 300,000 forints (around €744) by the Hungarian Data Protection Authority (DPA) for violating the EU's General Data Protection Regulation, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (EU GDPR). A company employee had, without prior notice, made an audio recording of a phone conversation with a data subject concerning installation work in an apartment, the DPA said. The regulator found that the company, among others, breached the principles of data minimisation, purpose limitation and information obligation.
