The Home Office has issued guidance on complying with section 156 of the Building Safety Act 2022 (BSA 2022). These fire safety responsibilities apply to all non-domestic premises and the non-domestic parts of multi-occupied residential buildings, such as communal corridors and stairways, but do not apply within individual domestic premises. Coming into force on 1 October 2023, these new requirements are for people who have had responsibilities under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, SI 2005/1541.
