The Vice President of the Court of Protection, Mr Justice Hayden has published guidance concerning remote access to the Court of Protection during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The guidance overrides previous protocols and explains that remote hearings are the default position, that remote hearings can be carried out using any of the facilities set out in paragraph 14 of the President of the Family Division’s Guidance dated 19 March 2020 and that the main aim is to ensure access to justice is achieved by all parties to cases before the court.
