The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has published the Net Zero Strategy, which sets out policies and proposals for decarbonising all sectors of the UK economy in order to meet national net zero targets by 2050. It follows on from the government’s 2020 Ten Point Plan for green industry, laying the foundations for a green economic recovery from the impact of coronavirus (COVID-19), and includes decarbonisation pathways to net zero, policies and proposals to reduce emissions for each sector, and cross-cutting action to support the transition.
