The Department for Education (DfE), the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and HM Treasury have announced measures improve the choice and availability of childcare and reduce costs for parents. The measures include a new consultation on increasing the number of children per staff member in early years settings to reduce costs, increasing efforts to support more people to become childminders and an additional investment of £10m for Maintained Nursery Schools.
