The European Commission's Union Database for Biofuels (UDB) has opened for online registration by the relevant economic operators of transactions of liquid renewable and recycled carbon fuels. The UDB is a global traceability tool, which traces consignments of renewable and recycled carbon fuels and the raw materials that have been used for their production. The database will improve market transparency and traceability in the supply chain for such fuels, avoid double counting and minimise the risk fraud and irregularities, which will support efforts to meet the EU decarbonisation targets.
