European Parliament agrees to increase number of seats

The European Parliament has approved the European Council’s decision to add 15 additional seats in the Parliament across 12 Member States for the next legislative term. As a result, there will now be 720 seats in the Parliament, and the elections scheduled for 6–9 June 2024 will take place with the new number of seats.
