The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has published its technical advice to the Commission on the possibility of extending the transitional period set out in Article 48 of Regulation (EU) 2020/1503 on European crowdfunding service providers for business (the EU Crowdfunding Regulation (CR)). Crowdfunding service providers (CSPs) that provide their services only on a national basis currently benefit from a transitional period that is set to expire on 10 November 2022.
