The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has launched a consultation on draft guidelines on certain aspects of the MiFID II remuneration requirements. The consultation covers in particular the remuneration of staff who are providing investment and ancillary services or selling or advising on structured deposits. Responses are requested by 19 October 2021 and final guidelines are expected to be published in Q1 2022.
