On 19 January 2023, the Republic of El Salvador deposited its instrument of accession to the Convention of 18 March 1970 on the Taking of Evidence Abroad in Civil or Commercial Matters (Hague Evidence Convention). The convention will enter into force for the republic on 20 March 2023. With the accession of the republic, the convention has 65 contracting parties.
