The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DHLUC) has announced funding of over £42m over the next three years to support the delivery of building safety reforms for higher risk buildings brought in by the Building Safety Act. The funding is made up of two parts: a £16.5m grant supporting the Local Authority Building Control (the representative body for local authority building control in England and Wales) and £26m towards supporting the Fire and Rescue Services in England and the National Fire Chiefs Council.
