The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) has published on 1 June 2023 an update on the care and support statutory guidance. Paragraph 17.73 of the guidance has been updated to reflect that section 72 of the Care Act 2014 (CA 2014), which introduces an appeals system for reviewing care and support decisions made by local authorities, has not yet come into effect and remains under review.
